Pigeon release note 2.0.0014Updated 2 days ago

v.2.0.0014 has been released to overcome the pop-up message displays "This version of Signal has expired", it is an error message; the version of Pigeon has expired.

Uninstall Pigeon from the Applications Manager before installing the new version. Do not use the Update function

Please note users may experience issues with inserting or creating registration PIN.

If a pop error message appears, press OK and you should be able to advance to the chat menu. Punkt. is working on a solution to this issue as soon possible.

New features

  • Conversations: Using the SEND key as a shortcut to send messages, or start a call while in the conversation input is now fixed.
  • Linking devices: Resolved linking devices issue

Changes:

  • Version number: The version number of Pigeon has changed.
  • Re-base: Signal 6.34.5

Known issues

  • Set-up: It is not possible to select image tiles with the Punkt. key during the CAPTCHA test. It is necessary to use the numerical key '5' instead.
  • Voice messages: The duration of a voice message isn't displayed when dictating the message.
  • Voice messages: It is impossible to adjust the volume while listening to a voice message.
  • Conversations: Tagging functions are not enabled on Pigeon while typing messages.
  • Conversations: It is not possible to view media in full-screen mode; therefore, video playback does not work, and received images are only displayed as thumbnails.
  • Calling: While on a call, the 'on a call' indicator isn't shown on the screen.
  • Conversations: It is impossible to start a conversation with a voice message. Text messages must be exchanged first.
  • Calling: The call will drop if a call is answered on speakerphone.
  • UI: There are menu screens with a lack of focus highlight.
  • UI: Several pop-ups retain the default Android UI design.
  • Safety number: In some rare instances, a screen will appear where the focus is not visible when trying to verify a safety number. Pressing the END key and re-opening Pigeon will exit this screen
